Camp Descriptions

Present Day Da Vinci

Da Vinci; the artist, the inventor, the scientist! This camp offers a full week of engineering, creating, and inventing as we channel the ingenuity of one of the greatest minds of all time. Ages 5-10

Art in Nature: Budding Artists

One of our most popular camps is back! Campers will spend the week fusing art with nature. Together we’ll make recycled art, living art, natural art, and much more! Ages 5-8

Around the World

Journey with us as we immerse ourselves in the culture, customs, food, and art of countries around the world. Each day will take us to a new country where we will create art, learn customs, and sample the cuisine. Ages 5-10

Mystery Inc.

Calling all detectives! Hone your skills as a forensic scientist to solve the mystery of the FELC bandit! Study fingerprints, collect evidence, and run chemical analysis to find the culprit. Ages 5-10

Where the Wild Things Are

Let us take you outside to the woods, the wetlands, the stream, and the gardens to find where the wild things are. Campers will explore the different habitats of FELC, learn how to safely handle and care for the animals that dwell at FELC, in the woods, the stream, and all areas between. Ages 5-10

Culinary Camp

Fire up the pizza ovens, everyone’s favorite camp is back for one week only! Learners will prepare food to be cooked over a campfire, in a pizza oven, and in a solar oven. From primitive campfire cooking to cutting-edge gastronomy, we’ll learn a variety of techniques and the science behind how it all works. Ages 5-10

Art Camp: Advanced Techniques

More technically advanced, this fine arts camp lets young artists explore various art techniques, learn about the great artists of the 20th century, fuse art with nature, and explore new ways to express themselves. Campers will sketch, sculpt, paint, and create to develop their own artistic style. Ages 9-12

Hunters & Gatherers

Grab your maps, compass, and your best hiking shoes! All week we’ll partake in treasure hunts and scavenger hunts by using GPS, maps, and compasses. Ages 5-10
